World Cancer Day is celebrated internationally on the 4th of February every year. This year campaign’s theme, “Close the Care Gap” is all about understanding and recognising the inequities in cancer care around the globe. It is a reminder that everyone is entitled to the fair, equitable cancer care that they need.
For the year 2022, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Health Malaysia and National Cancer Institute will be organising the ‘World Cancer Day 2022 Virtual Run’ for the SECOND time!
- Registration is open to all Malaysians or non-Malaysians, men and women, and children aged 6 years and above.
- Participants can run, jog or walk anytime and anywhere that is safe, within house area or on a treadmill.
- All participants are reminded to obey the current Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) on outdoor exercises.
- Participants will need a running apps / tracking device to record time and distance of your run (step counter/pedometer are not allowed).
- You can split the distance to as many times as you wish (maximum 5 times) as long as the accumulated distance reach the run category chosen.
