RULES & REGULATIONS 

1. The Organiser retains the right to alter or replace any of these Rules and Regulations of the Event as they see fit. In case of any ambiguity, the Organiser will have the authority to interpret the rules and will consider the interests of all affected Participants.
2. The Organiser reserves the right to prevent a participant from continuing in the race if they do not comply with the rules and regulations.
3. Any disputes arising from participation in the ELEPHANT RUN 2024 will be referred to Arbitration to be conducted in Malaysia under the Laws of Malaysia.

REGISTRATION 

1. The Organiser will not be responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.
2. All entries are based on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.
3. The ELEPHANT RUN 2024 is open to all Malaysian citizens with a valid Malaysian Passport and/or Malaysian IC and international runners with a valid passport.
4. Age qualification is as of 31st December 2024.
5. Runners under 18 must be accompanied by and/or have permission from a parent, who will be fully responsible for the child's participation. Parents/guardians who wish to accompany must register for the run.
6. Once registration is complete and payment is made, entry fees are NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE, and NON-DEFERRABLE, regardless of participation.
7. Race entry is non-transferable to unregistered runners. Unauthorized participants will be disqualified.
8. For the family walk 3km, the requirement is based on 2 adults and 2 children (below 18 years old). For the RM220 registration fee entitlement, any additional participants will be charged RM60 per person. Any family group that does not meet the required number will be charged as individual runners at RM60 per person.
9. Upon confirmation of participation, changes to the category or other details will not be entertained. Any change of category requires new registration.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept, or reject any entries without prior notice or reasons.
11. The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without notice or when the race quota is full.
12. Completing the registration form indicates the participant's agreement to abide by the rules and regulations of the ELEPHANT RUN 2024.
13. Participants must agree to receive contact from the event Organiser via email/SMS. Any notice sent by email from the Organiser or the assigned party to the provided address on the registration form will be assumed to be received by the Participant.

15. All announcements, promotions, and communications related to this event will be published on our official Instagram page, TikTok, Facebook Page, email, or SMS, whichever channel is deemed suitable.

RUNNER'S ENTITLEMENT 

1. Each participant is entitled to receive an official event t-shirt, medal, A’Famosa Water World entry voucher, bib number and other packs as announced / stated officially in the registration portal.
2. The A’Famosa Water World entry voucher is valid from 11th August 2024 to 11th September 2024.

RACE KIT COLLECTION 

1. The Race Kit collection (RKC):

○ Date: 10 August 2024 (10 am – 9 pm)

○ Venue: Freeport A’Famosa Outlet, Alor Gajah, Melaka

2. All participants must bring their confirmation slip or number and their Identity Card or passport to collect their bib number and event t-shirt.
3. Changes in sizes of the race event t-shirt during collection are strictly NOT ALLOWED. Participants must adhere to the sizes they registered for.
4. There will be a Race-Kit collection counter open on race day. Outstation runners are advised to collect them at the event’s place before 8 am to be eligible to participate in the run. RKC will still be open from 8 am onwards until 10 am. Latecomers will not be eligible to participate in the run. By 10 am, the counter will be closed.
5. All race kits not collected on RKC day will be kept for collection after race day. Kindly contact the Organiser for this purpose and collect within two weeks, or they will be deemed unwanted and may be disposed of or redistributed by the Organiser.

DURING EVENT DAY 

1. Participants must display their race number at the front of the t-shirt at all times during the race. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
2. All runners are encouraged to wear the ELEPHANT RUN 2024 official t-shirt on event day.
3. Participants must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
4. Participants must keep to the left side of the lane to avoid obstructing other walkers.
5. No pets or wheel-run objects (e.g., inline skates, prams, push cars, shoes with built-in or attached rollers) are allowed on the course, except for official race and medical vehicles.
6. While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure participants' safety, participants partake in this event at their own risk. The Organiser, sponsors, and officials will not be liable for any death, injury, loss, or damage arising.
7. The Organiser reserves the right to remove any participant deemed physically incapable of continuing the race to prevent greater harm or injury.
8. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or change the event date or venue at their discretion. No refunds will be given if the event is cancelled by unavoidable means from the orders of the Organiser.
9. The Organiser reserves the right to delay the race's start in the event of inclement weather or any acts of God. If these conditions persist, making it unsafe or impossible to proceed, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without refunds. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising
