Miri City Council Kuala Baram Cycling Race 2023 will be jointly organized by Miri City Council with the collaboration of Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Performing Arts Sarawak and Masterpiece Cycling Club. The event will be held at Jalan Lutong - Kuala Baram (in front of Crocodile Farm).

The objectives of the event is to promote Miri as a new destination for Cycling Race Event not only in Malaysia but also Internationally as well as to enhance sport tourism in Miri in realizing the vision of Miri City towards a livable Resort City. Furthermore, the event is emphasizing the awareness of healthy lifestyle through cycling as a recreational sport activity to go green!

Kuala Baram Cycling Race 2023 will be held on the beautiful open coastal roads of Kuala Baram, Miri Sarawak.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Participants who completed the Online Registration agreed to abide by the rules and regulations of the event 'Miri City COuncil KUALA BARAM CYCLING RACE 2023' that has been signed up.
  2. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without assigning any reasons thereof.
  3. Strictly NO CHANGES of name and race category after registration is completed. Please check and ensure all details are correct before submission. Registration is strictly non-transferrable.
  4. Participants will be equipped with a timing device. Such timing devices will officially record their finishing times. The timing device MUST be return after each race and failing to do so you will be charge for RM500.00.
  5. Every rider shall always abide the instructions from the traffic Police and event Marshals.
  6. Riders shall be always cautious during the race. Any violent conduct during the race shall be eliminated.
  7. In the case of an emergency (puncture, mechanical or crash), the rider shall go to the side of the road to receive assistance.
  8. Riders who do not start during their respective flag-off time, may be disqualified, and classified as do not start.
  9. The following are STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED for any category: No helmet No race. Fun Ride is NOT ALLOWED.
  10. The Event will take place regardless of bad weather and will only be cancelled, re-routed, or stopped in extreme circumstances for safety reasons. The final decision on this will be rest with the Organiser and government officials.
  11. Appeals and disputes of results must be submitted to PCP in writing with an appeal fee of MYR100.00 soon after completing the race. The Organiser reserves the right not to entertain any appeals.
  12. RACE CATEGORIES 
    1. ELITE -Pro/Continental/National/State/Ex-Pro/Ex-Continental/Ex-National/Ex- State and open to rider who are 39 years old and below.
    2. OPEN - Rider age from 18 to 29 years old.
    3. MASTER A - Rider age from 30 to 39 years old.
    4. MASTER B - Rider age from 40 to 49 years old.
    5. VETERAN - Rider aged 50 and above.
  13. TEAM TIME TRIAL
    1. TT bike is not allowed.
    2. Team composition of 4 riders. Team with less than 3 riders will be considered do not start.
    3. The finishing time for a team shall be that of the third rider.
    4. Drafting behind another team will be disqualified.
  14. UCI rules are applicable.
  15. The Event Owner and the Event Organiser reserve the right to modify any of these rules and regulations from time to time as it deems fit. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Event Organiser shall be the sole authority to interpret them and, in doing so, may consider the interests of all affected Participants. Participants will be notified of any amendments to these rules and regulations on the Organiser Official Website.
