Batangsi located 9km from the town of Semenyih, Hulu Semenyih, Hulu Langat District, Selangor and 40km from Kuala Lumpur. The surface of the earth if this area is part of high land with hills.

Batangsi is in the Geopark Range of Gombak - Hulu Langat.

The Batangsi Trail 2024 is the 3rd organization. The first time in 2019 with the name Batangsi Trail Run.

The Batangsi Trail (TBT) will be held at Pinggiran Danau Recreation Park Batangsi, Jalan Sg.Lalang Semenyih Selangor, Malaysia. The area has many attraction such as Sg. Lalang Hot Spring, Anugerah Alam Outdoor Adventures Campsite and Rinching ATV Adventure Park, Semenyih.

TBT is separated into five distance categories, 50km, 30km, 17km, 8km and 2km Kids Trail.

Race Information

Category

  1. 50 km & 30 km Mix Duo – A Combo of one man and one Woman only. Duo must check in at the check point AND finishing line together at the same time.

Bib transfer, cancellation and categories change

  1. No refund of entry fee once you've registered the race, regardless of any category, in any circumstances.
  2. Changes of Bib name is allowed 30 days before the race date and during the REPC with the processing fee of RM50.
  3. All participants are strongly advised not to proceed the race without the updated runner information on the Race Bib for your safety reasons.

Eligibility

  1. This race is open to all Malaysian/Permanent Resident and oversea runners' age 18 years old and above only. For Kids Trail category, parents/guardian concern is required.
  2. Participants must complete the race on foot under their own strength.
  3. Participants are required to be semi self-sufficient. You must always have your mandatory equipment with you during the race.
  4. The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry to any participants.

Pacer / External support

  1. Pacers and support crew are strictly prohibited.
    No external support by friends or family is allowed beyond the limits of the official checkpoints.

Medical

  1. There will be medical personnel on standby at the race site.
  2. Ambulance service is on standby as well for emergency cases.
  3. Participants are responsible to ensure they are fit and healthy before starting the race. Please consult your doctor if there is any doubt.

Insurance

  1. Participants are to accept the risk associated with the event as per indemnity clause as per registration form.
  2. The organizer will not be responsible for any claim resulted from this event.
  3. It is recommended that you have personal accident insurance or health insurance.

Event Cancellation

  1. The organizers shall reserve the right to cancel or cut short the event for the following reasons: (but not limited to)
    Adverse weather conditions (haze, thunderstorm etc.)
    Dangerous trail conditions (Landslides, Flood, Tree fallen/fires blockage along the course etc.)
    Riot, endemic, government policy change etc.
    In such event no refund of the registration fee.

You're required to present the mandatory items:

  1. DURING THE RACE, random checks by official at any point during the race.
  2. AFTER THE RACE, for result verification.

Failed to comply with the mandatory item will cause:

  1. Disqualification from the race or
  2. Penalty 30 minutes for each item

(17KM and 8KM)

  1. Hydration bag/handheld bottle/ collapsible cup.
  2. Food/energy bar/gel.
  3. Hand phone (for emergency).

Water stations

8KM: 1 Water Station.
17KM: 2 Water Stations.
30KM: 3 Water Stations.
50KM: 5 Water Stations.

Toilet is available at the Kem Anugerah Alam and starting point only.

  1. The water station count is an estimation only. It can be change on the real day.
  2. We will implement bring your own bottle/cup concept (BYOB/BYOC) for this race. So please bring your own portable cup or bottle. We will not provide any disposable cup at the starting/finishing line and all water stations.

F & B

  1. Refreshments (drinks and food) will be served at the official checkpoints.
  2. The refreshments are strictly reserved for participants only.
  3. To avoid littering to the trail, we will not provide any paper cups at each checkpoints. You are required to bring your own bottles or bladders or personal cup.

Safety

  1. Race bib must always be worn & visible (on the front) throughout the event.
  2. Participants must always stay on the marked course all the time. Short cuts/running off the trails are strictly prohibited.
    Participants must always carry all the mandatory items during the event.
  3. If should you have noticed marshal vehicles (motorbike / jeep) approaching during the race, please slow down and give way.
  4. Please be cautious as some parts of trail route might be muddy and slippery in condition.
  5. There will be a few river crossings, so it is advised to always stay alert on the official race marker.
  6. Ensure your own safety and that of others. Be considerate of other trail and road users always.
  7. Take great care when crossing or running on roads. If another runner is injured or in distress, please assist.

Race Course

  1. The route will be marked with ribbons and arrows at intersections. It is imperative that you follow the paths with the markers without taking any short cuts.
  2. Any runner seen taking a short cut along the route will be penalized/disqualified.

Dropping Out From The Race

  1. If you decide to withdraw from the event, you must inform the event officials immediately and remove your race bib.
  2. Once you have dropped out of the race, you are not allowed to re-start.

Dropping out at check point

  1. Tell the checkpoint marshals that you've decided to drop out from the race.
  2. The checkpoint marshals will be able to further guide you on returning to the finishing point or with the race shuttle.
  3. Do note that not all checkpoints are accessible with race shuttle and even so with a limited time frame.

Dropping out along the race course

  1. Please proceed to your nearest checkpoint and inform the marshals that you've decided to drop out from the race. The checkpoint marshals will be able to further guide you on returning to the finishing point or with the race shuttle.
  2. Do note that not all checkpoints are accessible with race shuttle and even so with a limited time frame.
  3. If you're severely unable to move yourself to the nearest checkpoint, please contact the event emergency number.

Race Timing

  1. There will be a timing chip and manual system for this race.

Result

  1. The results will be out in 3-7 days after the race.
  2. For any complaints, please email us with:
  • Full details of the complaint. Attached all necessary proof and supporting document(s).
  • Pay RM300 complain fee.
  • Investigation will be done in 10 working days and all result after that will be final.

General

  1. You must obey the instructions of the event marshals at all times.
  2. If you miss the cut-off time for your category, you must withdraw from the race as instructed.
  3. Littering is strictly prohibited. Any runner seen littering along the route will be penalized.
  4. Damaging or disturbing any flora or fauna is strictly prohibited.
  5. Doping or use of drugs is strictly prohibited.
  6. Breaking any of the rules mentioned may incur a time penalty or disqualification. Any such penalties are at the race organisers discretion and are final.
  7. The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the event rules and requirements, route or other arrangements as they deem appropriate.
  8. Participants must provide true and accurate information to the organisers. Any wilful dishonesty may render a participant's entry invalid and the organisers reserve the right to amend or cancel such participant's entry without compensation.
  9. Lack of respect for others (organisation or runners) Note : a participant whose supporters are uncivil and/or refuse to respect the organisation's instructions will be penalised. (Disqualify)
